Side performances (54,341) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I wonder why Caesars Palace didn't draw up a similar contract like Planet Hollywood did with Britney Spears. I think giving her past performances, I think they should have done that. Where they limit how many "performances" she can do outside of her residency and she can't be allowed to perform at any hotel but there's. At first when I heard what they did for Britney at the BBMA's I rolled my eyes but if you think about it it's genius. They pretty much control the spin of it all. Mariah doesn't do good award show performances, she's way to nervous. She needs to shoot them before hand like Britney did with fans around she would have killed it better and not been as nervous. These side performances shouldn't be happeneing either. Not when she has a residency to do. She should be in Vegas practicing 1000 times not just singing but her timing and also yes vocal coaching too. Not doing as much traveling internationally and singing. She sang in NY, Austria, Walmart just with the past 2 weeks of her residency ending. She should be resting and practice, practice, practice. She did good at Walmart and let's be honest good for Mariah now is great. She just sounded tired and she should also be excussed given haters need to destroy her.

Shelly / bipolar for those who don't know (54,330) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Shelly, all those things you speak of is when Britney Spears had a manic episode. I know not a lot of people don't know about a lot of things, so I won't get to upset and try and explain. Also, why wouldn't Britney get support and love? It made her relatable and most important mental illness is just that a illness passed down from generation. it doesn't care who you are or what you do. If anything, [...] celebrity is a lil narcissistic it makes you one. You can have bipolar and [...] have a manic episode and go all "let me shave my head moment". People with bipolar can have mood swings from good to bad and be majorly depressive. You can also have episodes where you talk fast, you ramble a lot, your head is very spacey. you jump from one thing to the next. One example is "I'm going to be a singer, no a jumper, no I wanna be a president of a bank" in one sentence. Also the medicines suck, your weight goes up and down, it messes with your mood and your sleep. I'm not going to debate with anyone if Mariah has anything. Everyone has an opinion and I have mines, I think when you grow up idolizing someone it's hard to see something isn't right with them. Anyways, It's nobodies business, She should sue that title is so mean to everyone with problems.

Let's be real (54,282) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I do believe Mariah does suffer from some personality disorder but I doubt it's bipolar so who cares? As a woman myself living a disorder and not at all ashamed. In my eyes, she should have owned this a long time ago instead of that story about exhaustion in 2001. In my eyes it would have made her more likable and more importantly relatable. I've been very vocal all along that I believe Mariah does suffer from something. Now, the drinking, I'm not going to discuss that. From looking in from the outside, I've always said Mariah loves her splashes. But do I think Morgan made it bigger and more deadlier than it is? Hell yeah. Something happened and let she clear, If Mariah does need help shame on him and his wife then to do this pubicly like this. You don't do this. This is the kind of thing that pushes people more and more to their vices and more depressed and more in their "bubble". The media and the public at large doesn't give a damn about these celebrities all they care about is moving magazines and for him to do this is low and sick. There's just no coming back from this. Which is sad, because we all know once Mariah cuts you off honey, it's a wrap for good.

Interesting (54,032) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
How old are some of you? Seriously, I'll give you Beyonce is overrated. Her album wasn't all about sex and Beyonce takes a lot of chances as an artist then Mariah now. It's childish to tear down one singer's accomplishments, a female singer at that, just to build one of her mentors and closes friends in this business up. You don't win Grammy's because of music, this isn't the 1990's anymore. Everyone knows you win by connections which Beyonce has. Duh. I know some of you might not like what I say, but it's the truth. The voters love Beyonce and don't love Mariah has nothing to do with music, it's personal, get over it, Mariah has. Oh and we're talking about 2015 Mariah, enough with this pedal-stool crap that's why a lot of people don't like Mariah now. A lot of her fans and for the longest the media put her on it. Mariah/Britney would do well plus it would be Britney's song not hers. Oh and while I'm at it, I miss Issac and Andrew, Randy (though he still posts) bascially any non lamb whose not afraid to be honest and tell it like it is. But Issac, I loved when he put old censored in their place. Shot.

Britney Spears (54,000) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I think it's mean of people to say Britney her voice is shot so MC shouldn't work with her. I don't find anything wrong with a Mariah/Britney duet, but given how Mariah is it won't happen. Britney is anxious? You're a lamb right? Touch My Body Mariah Carey would do very well with a Britney Spears. I also think it would do good for Mariah's I dunno artistic creativity. Working on another artists song gives her the freedom to express herself in other ways, which exposes herself to people who normally wouldn't be checking for her. Thus making her likable. Like Mariah some of you are in denial about her current state. Like radio play is going to fix everything. She still gets played satellite radio. I don't even know anyone who still listens to radio in 2015 and top 40 at that. Michael Buble gets zero play but still sells loads. Sade hasn't had a hit on top 40 in a long time. Madonna can still at least sell 100k, her tours always sell out. Toni Braxton and Baby Face won a Grammy yet didn't sell much nor have a huge hit. Nobody talks much about Mary J. flopping. Mariah lost a good chunk of her fan base post 2008 not because of music but because she changed. She's become the Aretha Franklin of today. Who was also known as a grade A diva supreme ball gown wearing unrelatable queen in her bubble who doesn't take her career serious anymore as she should.

Oh girl, Von problem, I didn't take it personal. But this is no shade towards anyone Beyonce or anyone. But post 2013 "condescending Beyonce" towards her peers still wins Grammy gold. It's not because her music is of high quality either. This is a "catty business' and it's who you know. Beyonce, makes nice with a lot of important people. A lot of people assume still that Mariah isn't doing well because of age and sex, which is all half true. But, she's not Madonna dance pop aka self life. It's because she comes off as a spoiled high maintenance queen. I can't even say how many articles online in the comment sections you read the same things over and over again from people saying the same thing. They don't say her music sucks, they say they can't stand her because of her public persona. She has fun with the diva image but only fans know that. It's not coming across to others as that. You still got British people who believe she really wants white carpet and white puppies every time waiting for her lol, she's the one who started the rumor lol they still don't get it.

Since I mentioned Ariana by name in my earlier in my post first I'm going to assume you we're addressing me. Let's be clear, when Mariah came out Whitney was bombarded with questions about Mariah and comparisons just like Mariah was/is with every new female singer. Now, Whitney isn't perfect, she knew how to throw shade like the rest of them. But, she always paid female singers their due with "she's a good singer". Lets be real, Mariah has never been known to be "friendly" to any female singer who is compared to her. Going back to Christina A. I'm not talking about when Christina showed up to her party, I'm talking way before in 1999 when she just released her first single. She wasn't exactly very nice to her. Even when they were on TOTP back then, she wasn't very "welcoming". She threw shade at Ariana for no reason. All she had to say was "She, has a lovely voice, but I personally don't think we sound anything a like, just because someone can hit a whistle note doesn't make them a new anything. I'm still here, I'm not goin anywhere." Wish her luck and that wasn't it. Mariah always comes off very insecure with younger female singers. Even with Nicki Minaj on Idol. How is it, Nicki who started that "fight", gets even bigger after. But right after that video Mariah lost a good chunk of respect from a lot of people. Who still say she came off as spoiled princess. Look at Beyoncé, she's successful, for the most part because the industry loves her. She's friendly towards everyone.

Save the drama for your mama (53,908) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
Everyone takes Mariah Carey way to serious. I think that's why Mariah, Britney, Michael, Whitney had so much trouble in the spot light. I think they achieved so much success so young and so long that people expect/expected them to be #1 all the time. I honestly think Mariah is sick of it. Doesn't care anymore. it's like 'I'm here, take me as I am and if you don't bye." She knows what people say about her and she no longer cares, I love it. I also think JD and the media and public and a lot of the fans are being ageist and sexiest. I remember back in 1998, Whitney told Mariah in a VH1 countdown they we're hosting "No matter, all the things you accomplish, once you have a child, a family, nothing else will matter to you anymore." Fast forward to 2010. Chaka Khan to B. Scott: "I love Mariah. She's having two. It's going to change her, once you have kids, nothing else matters." Britney Spears also just said she changed and it's now "Kids, family and her career is last." Mariah isn't career driven anymore. Good for her. Can you blame her? She's been doing this straight out of high school, now it's not about being #1 for her. It's about her doing what she loves and having fun and meeting and seeing new and old fans from all over the world. Sorry I hate doing two posts lol. I think the media and public has been way to harsh on Mariah and a lot of female singers. It's complete ageist and sexiest. Males in society can age and male singers can get on stage and sound a mess. When a female singer does it she will get dragged through the mud. I also think Mariah deserves half the criticism, for so long she hasn't been nice nor helpful to younger female singers who look up to her. Everyone notices it. That's why artists respected Whitney Houston because she was a female singer's friend. Mariah hasn't messed up her legacy. Turn on the radio, her legacy is in tact. Her legacy lives on in newer generation of singers like Tori Kelly. That girl can sing. She's got the gift, She's grown up listening to Mariah Carey. The Fifth Harmony girls and yes even Ariana Grande. Look at Taylor Swift's Bad Blood and don't tell me you didn't think of the "Oh Boy" music video lol especially the office part. With the Kendrick rap, that's because of Mariah and ODB. Like Fantasia said, "Mariah doesn't have do another thing, she's a legend. The game Mariah is like Elvis, an untouchable legend." Now I wouldn't be me, if I didn't tell Mariah please fire you're stylist. Hire a young gay male stylist. Every last one of you're outfits on tv from last week. Chile, I can't.

Yes. I agree. That's one of my all time favorite performance from her. In fact I'm going to say that all her SNL performances in my book rival all the others. Mariah has always brought it to SNL. I love when she does her vocal growl and the face on her background singers aww I get my life every time I watch that. Her Vanishing SNL performance is another all time tops of mine. I think I gotta go play her debut and Emotions album now lol way to many jams. Her first two albums are way too underrated, I wish more singles were released. "Prisoner", "All in your mind", "Alone in love", "To be around you".

Tears of joy (52,930) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I wasn't ready for that TMZ clip. She sounds amazing. Soon as I heard Someday, I cried. I haven't heard her sing that song since I was in elementary school. I waited a long time to hear that song live again. She killed it, she's got her confidence back. I'm so happy she's in a good place in her life right now. She seems very happy now, I love the set, it's gorgeous. She's rocking the outfits, even the Honey wetsuit. I'm loving it all. I can't wait until the BBMA. I also believe Tamar Braxton will be there at her show.

Mariah's future (52,717) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
It's interesting to see how much love Janet is getting from all over the world of fans who miss her. I think that's not going to work for Mariah now. It's sad, but older fans we love her but we're not passionate about her releases unless she really brings it. Younger people don't even care for her at all, which is sad and think she can't sing anymore. I think she needs to step into 2015 mind frame and get out of the 1980's-1990's music business frame and step more into the driver seat of her career. Look at her friend Beyoncé, she gave up kissing radios butt. She stopped doing radio promos and single promotions. Her albums have been good sellers not huge Adele or Taylor but a huge success. Mariah needs to just focus on hit albums and stop releasing singles and release full albums no more iTunes single promo/radio single promo having a hit single isn't where it's at now. Her going gold now would be a huge success or even platinum. Oh and I got to get this 1 more this negative out my system lol. I laughed out loud when she said she's going to sign her #1's in order to show her progression as an artist LMAO. Mariah Vision Of Love to Infinity. [...]

I'm done / negativity (52,716) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
It's becoming way to negative here. I know I been very hard on Mariah and I'm honestly done. I'm a fan and always will be. I'm just no longer a huge fan who would buy multiple copies of singles/albums and checking iTunes everyday to see where she. Defending her to friends/haters who hate on her. It's tiring being a Mariah fan nowadays. It's like Mariah is in la la land and doesn't see how the world sees her. Madonna/Mariah/JLo are attention seekers. I hate to put Mariah in with thes two. But, like these two Mariah won't accept she's getting older and her fans are too and she won't age with us. She insists to sing songs that are cool but aren't songs you'd expect from Mariah Carey. On one hand she says she's not trying to appeal to young people but her music and promotion say other wise. I'm just done being negative and I think we all should. Mariah at the end of the day is going to do keep doing what's best for her.

Followers / Vegas interviews (52,640) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
It's sad how some people can't form their own opinions about something without getting an opinion from someone one. So if said person love it, would you too? What difference does it make who or doesn't like Mariah's new song. Some of you are way too much. Must be a age thing because I don't know anyone over 30 who still does that. As for her interviews, I'm very impressed. Mariah did the thang. And I'm very thankful, they made her stand for every single one. No splashes. This was a success in my book minus that sparkly dress and that black dress too. Looking forward to Kelly and Michael and Jimmy Kimmel, also I hope the BBMA also. If she wears a long gown to perform a song like Infinity that should just pull the curtain down in her cause I would and send her home.

Oh Mariah (X-Tina Voice) (52,591) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
That see through dress was a big no no. Way to boxy in the middle, it was a no. I don't know how she could say in a article "I'm a real person, I'm trying, it is what it is" on her weight. I know that feeling and so does lots of people. But own it, stop trying to fool the world with pictures that don't even look nothing like you. But I guess we're supposed to believe #1 To Infinity was also shot let me guess 2012 before her arm accident. In other great news, I love the new song and I want to know what's going on with Mariah and Rachel? "Ain't none of my business, but it's just Tea". Lol. Rachel usually is right there wherever Mariah is. *Sips tea*

Infinity video (52,440) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I think she and her team have got to come out great with a fun concept for a video. I'm not even going to lie lol, I wish, Mariah would have had snuck one of MIAMTEC tracks on #1's lol. I remember her and Nas hadn't yet finished "Dedicated" and she hadn't finished "Meterorite" either she should, have held out on those and snuck them as "new" on here lol no shade. I like Infinity, each time I play it I get to love it each more. But I don't know, I just feel like why can't she focus on her building her acting career? I think the problem is we all love the song, we just don't love it for Mariah Carey.

Inifnity (52,366) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I like it, my only problem with it, it doesn't sound finished. Like a rough cut. The song reminds me of TMB and Obsessed where first two listenings I didn't really get into. But I like it, I bought the single. The one thing, I'm very sick and tired of is the media and its obsession with the name "Mariah Carey". I really hope Mariah and her new team and label try and change people's perceptions of her. I would never want to be her, it must be nerve wrecking with every single and album release because if it's not a success it's a global economic crisis lol literally. Celine Dion could release a brand new album tomorrow worldwide and if it flops nobody would care. But Mariah would be put through the burning fire for it. Mary J. Bilge album flopped and the soundtrack not one word. JLo all that promo she didn't make even not one word. Infinity is already top 30 on iTunes US. I hope so does atleast well on the Hot 100.

Hi honey, I mean absolutely no disrespect when I say Wendell Williams. The one thing Wendy does, is know how to be a big messy, shady person. So what we do is turn it around and use one of her big insecurities back around on her "Wendell". She's very nasty, plus I'm not liking how she is with another certain person whose in the media now who I feel she's been bullying. So for now, she's Wendell Williams or Wendell Belinda Williams (wink). Btw, that story about Mariah wanting her seat on her show was just that a story. Everyone knows Mariah would never want to sit with with camera facing her "bad" side which Wendy seat does. When Wendy first got her show she wanted Mariah very, very bad for her show. I remember Nick even saying how she would never do her show. She likes Mariah, she's pissed, she keeps shading her show and won't come on. She did the same to JLo. Until she sat down with her. Now, in her head she's her BFF. So she shades her and fans shouldn't be sweeping it under the rug, I mean maybe you all and Mariah must like for people to call you all ticky ticky boom boom it couldn't be me though. I'd pull a Chris Brown GMA using her.

So I'm not sure which Wendell Williams you're talking about? The one with the the with the daytime tv show? Insecure one? Tall? Jealous of Mimi? Then no she still hates on her. This past Friday she just shaded her saying how Vegas is her last chance or her career is over. Oh that she's mentally fragile and did the hand head movement thing *rolls-eyes*. Oh and how Mariah is insecure that her staff is telling Nick things behind her back on what's going on in the house. Her words "You know Nick is so nice, Mariah is such a hard to get a long with spoiled diva." I can't with ole' Wendell and her geeky looking fake lamb hot mess of a producer. She makes up stories about Mariah just to hate on her. I don't know what happened between them. Wendy used to support Mariah, now she can never say anything nice without shading her to death. It's all about Jennifer Lopez with her now.

I Identity with Mariah we both are multi-racial woman with fathers who abandoned us. I'm also very child/woman like her. I don't take life too serious and am a free spirit. We're also two very open minded black/Latin ancestry who love and accept everyone as they are. That's why I always loved MC. I'm really excited about what's to come, I'm feeling really good that our girl is going to kill it. I'm also glad that she's happy and doing her. looking forward to seeing her on Kelly & Michael and please for the love of the fashion gods, please slay us with the fashion and beauty this era. I want you to bring it and serve it. I also can't wait to finally hear "Someday" 2015 finally. That song Is going to mean something to Mariah. She better sing that like her life depends on it lol and like Nick is on that stage every night. Every time I hear him talk about her in a interview I imagine her singing this song lol.

Honestly, I don't want her record to be broken but records are meant to be broken. It would of stung more if it were a Rihanna pop toaster oven hit. But "Uptown Funk" is such a great record and is giving me all kinds of "The Time and Prince"'real ness. I'm hoping Mariah can hold on to that record for 1 more year, next year. March 16th is the 20th anniversary since it finished at 16 weeks and made chart history. That's a long time, even 19 is a long time for a record but 20 is better. Oh and thank you caption obvious on Someday. Hey Bianca.

Someday / Fantasy (51,858) by Giselle #1 Mariah Critic from USA
I really don't even understand why she would include the MTV unplugged version of Someday. Mariah needs to sit down and realize that yes "VOL", "LTT" were great hits but it was "Someday" sweetie that lit Rythmic radio on fire back in the day. I can't tell you how many times as a kid I used to hear that on the radio. Everyone would get their life on that song. I don't understand what she finds terrible about it, the beat is outdated but that soggy is pure early 90's realness. "Fantasy" ODB remix isn't really my favorite, I wish they could find a way to merge the original with ODB's verse from the remix. Every time I listen to the remix I have to listen to the original right after because you just feel something is missing in the remix version like it's not finished. I'm over the cover, Mariah needs to work on her insecurities and embrace her figure now. Her head looks like they stuck it right in a models body. Her album covers have always looked weird though if you study them. I don't like any of them. E=MC2 era of pics were great I admit, the color scheme and everything was on point.

I'm not feeling this cover. It's way too photoshopped, her body isn't even like that. It's a sexy picture but it's not very realistic. Be proud of who you are now and stop trying to portray Butterfly Mimi when you're not. Also I'm curious as to why is it okay for a certain guy here to call Mimi out but dare anyone say it the sheep are quiet? Big double standard here.

Wow Shelly reading your post made me tear up. I grew up unloved very, very bad abandonment issues growing up that I still struggle with today. I did like a lot of young girls did and I acted out and did horrible mistakes I can't take back. Mariah's music has always been my saving grace as well to me too. ATYNAF is still one of those songs I play to give me encouragement and to make me feel good. "I only wanted", I can't help but laugh each time I still hear this, I became a crazed stalker to an ex of mine In college. I played that one song everyday on my ex boyfriends VM for a week that and "BOTH". Lol, it's amazing how many of our lives has been connected to a Mariah song or album. I lost my V-Card to "My All".

Lee Daniels and cast are the ones who want Mariah on the show. She doesn't have to try and get on. All she has to do is "Lee, dahling. Come over for a splash." Lol if she wants on it's like that.
