Mariah finds new single "exciting"
Mariah Carey has admitted she is really thrilled with her new single, Touch My Body. "The first single from my new album E=MC2, Touch My Body, is a fun song," she says. "I had a really great time working on it. It's really exciting for me because people are really responding to it quickly. Since I'll Be There, there hasn't been a song that I've sung that has been such a fast hit here in America. So it's really, really exciting."
The accompanying music video, which is directed by Rush Hour's Brett Ratner and is already a hit on YouTube, sees the diva exploring her comedic side. "I love working with Brett Ratner because he gets me. He knows that I like to have fun," she reveals. "He really likes the comedic side of me and because he's great at comedy, he sees the comedienne in me and I think that's why he really likes to let other people understand that I don't take myself too seriously. It's really just about having a good time. We enjoyed making the video so much because it wasn't the regular video."
Touch My Body is released on Monday March 31, while E=MC2 is out on Monday April 14. (YAhoo! Music News)
