Our final day
|  | | Prince William with 3am girls | | All great parties come to an end (even if they're hosted by Kate Moss). And, hankies at the ready, so has ours. After gallons of champagne and more hangovers than Amy Wino, we're bidding a final farewell to the most exciting job in showbiz.
We've had an unbelievable time, breaking the biggest stories around and keeping celebs on their toes - not to mention get ting stuck into a few bust-ups. We've rubbed shoulders with everyone from Madonna and Tom Cruise to Nelson Mandela and Prince William.
And the par ties! We loved hanging out with Elton at his legendary Oscars bashes. One year he even phoned the doormen when he saw them trying to stop us getting in. Eva, who launched the column seven years ago, won't forget her 5am heart-to-heart with Leonardo DiCaprio or Mel C pouring out her heart about her depression in a toilet cubicle.
Some stars were a tad more precious. Eva recalls a riled Noel Gallagher slagging her off on stage and Steve McFadden - 'Enders Phil Mitchell - telling her: "I'm going to chuck f***ing lager over you until you can't do your f***ing job any more." Don't worry, we got even with him. Then we got blanked by Jude Law... until he realised the error of his ways and we kissed and made up.
Caroline, who joined 3am in 2004, remembers Snoop Dogg inviting her back to his hotel room as he liked to be "surrounded by lovely women". She naturally declined. Among her highlights was blagging her way on stage to join Macca for the finale of Live 8, where she wailed Hey Jude in front of a global audience of billions, and receiving a personalised award from her pal Mariah Carey.
Our Eva says: "I've had a wicked time on 3am but it's time to call it a day. Besides, I don't think my liver can cope any more." And Caroline, who is now based in LA, adds: "The last four years have been amazing. But a few early nights beckon!"
The great news for you (and a crushing blow for our enemies) is that the 3am party continues. Two great new columnists take over on Monday. We know they'll have an unbeatable time on the world's greatest showbiz column. 3am Favourites
