Emotions from Saudi Arabia
 |  |  | | picture 1 | picture 2 | picture 3 | | Yesterday, Kerry Scrimshaw sent info on two cassettes from Saudi Arabia. The first cassette, MTV Unplugged EP, was like the ones we all know. The second cassette, Emotions, was special. Because of religious reasons, many covers were altered, showing little flesh. The same happened with the Emotions cassette (see picture 1).
The strange thing is that there is also a regular cassette from Saudi Arabia (see picture 2). When this cassette was released, they thought it was suitable for all religions. Why they changed their mind later on is a mystery to me. If you look at the X-ray of the censored cover (see picture 3), you will see it's just the original cover with a black dress printed on it.
