Nude pictures of Mariah: "I can laugh at them"

BreakOut: It must have been quite a job to shoot the video for "Heartbreaker"?

Mariah: You can say that. I've never been so tired! But I'm pleased with the result. Especially that last thing is very important to me, because I wanted to do something completely different. My previous clips were all so awful serious.

BreakOut: Was it your own idea to beat up yourself?

Mariah: It was mine and the director's idea. We were brainstorming and we came up with this. Immediately I was enthusiastic, because now I can finally show my comic side. Many people think I'm always deadly serious, but that's not true. I hope I can get rid of that image.

BreakOut: Do you want to get rid of your sexy image also?

Mariah: No way! I'm doing my best to look as good as possible. Lately I'm satisfied with myself, but I used to look in mirrors as little as possible. I really thought I had a big forehaed. When I had my pictures taken, I always turned my head to the left. I'm glad I've outgrown that. It is one of the advantages of getting older: you lose your insecurity.

BreakOut: Do you mind getting older?

Mariah: No, I have the impression my life just started. I feel on top of the world and I have a fantastic life.

BreakOut: How about love?

Mariah: I have no complaints.

BreakOut: Why are you always so vague about your love life?

Mariah: Because it's very personal. Already they write a lot about me. What happens in my bedroom is no ones business. If you believe all the stories, I must have slept with everyone I ever worked with. Nonsense. Sometimes I check out the Internet to see what they write about me. Really, I can't believe my eyes. Most people with whom I am supposedly involved with I do not even know!

BreakOut: Did you ever see your "nude pictures"?

Mariah: Those are really ridiculous! They put my head on a nude body. Some girls even have hair on their arms. Well, I don't! But I can laugh at these pictures.

BreakOut: What is the most stupid thing you ever read on the Internet?

Mariah: That my biggest hobby is breeding hamsters! Me! How do they come up with such a story?

BreakOut: Is it true that you've beaten up Cameron Diaz?

Mariah: Not that, but I was really angry at her. A magazine wrote that I had kissed Matt Dillon, whereupon Cameron Diaz started to bully me and my music. First of all, I never kissed Matt, so I was already fed up with that. And when I read that Cameron turned me down, I exploded. A few weeks later I accidental met her in a restaurant in New York. I had a little bit to much liquor and I immediately walked to her. We had an... interesting conversation, so to speak.

BreakOut: No fight?

Mariah: No, but I made it clear to her that she can't walk over me. She said she was misquoted and that was the end for me. Look, people must not think they can say anything about me, I won't take that.

BreakOut: Did you ever fight?

Mariah: I used to, at school. I was really a bad girl who locked up other girls in their closets and who secretly smoked sigarets. But now I don't fight anymore. Well, only in my videos.

BreakOut: You have everything what can be achieved...

Mariah: Not at all! I still have many ambitions. I just played in a movie with Chris O'Donnell, called "The Bachelor". It was only a very small role, but it tasted morish. Soon I will start shooting the movie "All that glitters", for which I also will do the soundtrack. You see, I haven't reached my limits. There are so many more challenges.

BreakOut: Will acting not be at the expanse of your music?

Mariah: Not at all! Whatever happens, I will keep singing. Now I'm busy with my new album and it is the most ecciting thing there is. You start with nothing and eventually it will become a song.

BreakOut: Will there be any exciting duets on the album?

Mariah: Of course, but I don't say with whom. That must be kept a secret. And besides that, I'm still negotiating with certain artists who I really love to have on my album.

BreakOut: Backstreet Boys?

Mariah: I'm not saying a thing.

BreakOut: Your boyfriend Luis Miguel?

Mariah: You will have to wait until the end of this year, when it's finished. One thing is for sure, it will be a remarkable album. Different from all my previous albums.

BreakOut: Really? Without ballads?

Mariah: Well, let me put it this way: less ballads, more hiphop. And now I'm not saying anything anymore.
