Mariah on a flying visit

Pop diva Mariah Carey was in London yesterday to publicise her new single and forthcoming live show in the capital. The 29-year-old singer, who recently announced her first British concert date in more than three years, flew in last night on a whistle-stop promotional trip.

This afternoon, wearing a long black coat with furry cuffs, a black strapless top and jeans, she posed for photographers in the foyer of Claridge's Hotel. A spokeswoman for the star said later: "Mariah is on a flying visit to London to promote her new single and her date at Wembley Arena next month. She is in the process of visiting various places across Europe in advance of her European tour."

Carey's one-off London date is at Wembley Indoor Arena on February 26. Her latest single, Thank God I Found You, taken from the Rainbow album which came out last November, is released two days later.
