Celebrating with Brett Ratner?
It's her first birthday since splitting with estranged husband Nick Cannon. And Mariah Carey wasted no time in posting a celebratory collage to Instagram on Wednesday to ring in her 45th. The stunning singer shared snaps of herself in a plunging dress to the picture sharing site amid rumours she is on a romantic getaway with longtime friend Brett Ratner in the Caribbean.
She captioned the montage: "Happy 3/27 lambily. I love you and can't wait for this new year and all the excitement of 2015 dahlings." Mariah stands on an ivory beach in the snaps as fireworks explode overhead, which could be the Caribbean if reports from RadarOnline are correct.
The 45-year-old film director, best known for his Rush Hour movies, has been a shoulder to lean on during Mariah's divorce from Cannon. Now a source tells the gossip website that, "Their relationship has progressed in recent weeks and is now very serious."
Radar also claims that the duo flew out on Australian billionaire James Packer's private jet for their holiday together on a $70 million super yacht. The two previously collaborated on eight music videos, with Ratner acting as director, including Thank God I Found You and We Belong Together.
Ratner most famously dated Serena Williams from 2004 to 2005 as his career as a film director began to skyrocket. Meanwhile, Mariah and Nick married on her private island in the Bahamas on April 8, 2008, after just six weeks of dating but Nick confirmed their split in August 2014 after months of speculation. Hero hitmaker Mariah filed for divorce from the Nickelodeon star at the beginning of the year.
The 34-year-old actor is now rumoured to be dating model Jessica White with sources suggesting the pair have been dating for a few months and that she has even met the former couple's twins Monroe and Moroccan - indicating the seriousness of the relationship. (Mail Online)
