Mariah replaces engagement sparkler with butterfly ring
Is Mariah Carey giving us another sign that her marriage to Nick Cannon is coming to an end? The superstar posted a series of photos with her adorable twins Moroccan and Monroe to her Instagram account on Friday while visiting an aquarium. But it wasn't the dolphins and manta rays that caught our attention. It was a butterfly.
Mariah has had a diamond butterfly ring for years that she often wears. It's one of her favorite items of jewelry. But the bauble landed on her right ring finger once she was engaged and then married to 33-year-old Cannon.
Back in 2008 the America's Got Talent host gave the songbird a 17-carat platinum and pink diamond engagement ring which she proudly wore. Once they wed she added a band of large diamonds as her accompanying wedding ring. But those rings were nowhere to be seen Friday as the butterfly piece has fluttered over to where Nick's ring used to be.
Nick confirmed in August the there was "trouble in paradise" and that he was no longer living under the same roof as the 44-year-old. In turn, she had her lawyers fire off a confidentiality agreement for him to stop discussing the state of their union. But with Nick's ring gone and the butterfly taking it's place, maybe Mariah's the one trying to tell us something! (RumorFix)
