Nick not allowed to comment on divorce from Mariah
There is indeed trouble in paradise when it comes to Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey's marriage. The America's Got Talent star recently revealed that he and Carey have been spending time apart for a while now. Cannon would not say much more and now TMZ has broken the news that it's not that he doesn't want to say but that he can't.
A source explained to TMZ that the couple has created a one sided confidently agreement concerning the upcoming divorce and the ball is in Carey's court. Carey gets to officially break the news on her terms and if Cannon doesn't follow the rules, there is an intense financial penalty.
The New York Daily News reports that Cannon was only allowed to state that him and Carey have been living apart. So what happens when the popular show host is followed by paparazzi looking for answers? He has been telling everyone that his main focus is on his two children, 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, as of late. The couple has been married for six years and there is no news on when Carey will announce the split.
Mariah Carey's rep has commented on the situation, telling Us Weekly, "I don't comment on Mariah's personal life, but Mariah is focusing on her children and her upcoming tour." (The Celebrity Cafe)
