Newcastle clubbers belt out All I Want For Christmas

While as recent as March there was snow on the ground, we are still quite a way off December but that didn't stop revellers at a certain Newcastle club night from embracing the Christmas spirit. The sun might have been beating down on Newcastle for Bank Holiday weekend but that didn't stop Bongo's Bingo DJ Mickey Pickles from pulling a festive classic out of the bag, or should that be stocking?

As well as plays of classics like Oasis Don't Look Back in Anger, Girls Aloud's Sound of the Underground and The Corrs - Breathless, and of course the winning of a mobility scooter, the air at Boiler Shop was filled with the strains of Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas.

And while, we are hopefully, headed for a long hot summer, the packed crowd at Bongo's belted out the winter wonder in a fashion that would definitely warm the coldest of cockles. The festive tuneage didn't stop there either as there was also an outing for the track that beat Mariah Carey to the coveted Christmas number 1 spot in the UK - East 17's Stay Another Day.
