Mariah Carey unveils gorgeous Japanese cover

Mariah Carey's Japanese Lambs are in for a special treat. Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse will be released with a different cover in Japan and it's undeniably gorgeous. The ageless diva poses with her hair slicked back against the same starry background used for the two US versions. It's simple and pretty and shows off Mimi's diamond-encrusted butterfly ring.

Internet trolls are already pointing out similarities between the Japanese cover and the artwork used for Mariah's 2002 opus Charmbracelet but haters gon' hate. It took me a minute to warm up to the creative direction of Me. I Am Mariah... The Elusive Chanteuse but now I think the initially confounding title and various covers (even the seemingly CGI-created walking on water one) are fabulous and, most importantly, quintessentially Mimi.
